Hey I am looking for rat terrier puppy's in the Atlanta area. My mom lost her rat terrier of 14 years last month and is still tore up about it. She thinks a new puppy would help her fill better! We have looked the local craigslist and have called some shelters nothing so far the craigslist pups that are being advertised as rat terriers look like a chihuahua beagle mix and not puppy's! I know this ain't car related but I have seen their is some major dog lovers in here! Just seeing if anybody knows of any! She would like for it to be close to the same as what she had white and tan in color! Thanks for any help!

STAY AWAY from anyone that has multiple litters for sale at once, as they're likely a puppy mill. Look for private sellers and ask lots of questions about the background of the parents and be weary of any pups that seems to cheap or sellers that forward you to a larger website to choose from and will only ship the animal. You want to be able to look things over a bit when you go to look at a possible purchase as to avoid people in the business of exploiting animals for huge profits. People who run or have any ties to puppy mills should be hung and burnt. :smt097

Yeah yeah yeah...real cute!

Anywho...if the dog's not going to be shown, bred, or otherwise "purposed," I don't see what's wrong with giving a less-fortunate dog an opportunity. Rescue dogs actually appreciate their new lives, you can tell....especially the adults...who also won't mess all over your house and tear up your stuff...

try to find a rescue in your state or area with terriers .... you will never find a better dog than one you rescue!!!!!

Well she found her a puppy! it's not a rat terroir its a chi-wennie She found him at a shelter she was still looking for a rat terroir but this one melted her hart and got a new home!
