I have a house with a cesspool and a seperate dry well dedicated to just the washing machine it's approximately 4ft in Diameter and about 6ft deep. Not sure how old it is bought house a year ago and it just started backing up. I pumped it out twice and powerwashed the block sides and added 2 gallons of pequa cessflow which didn't work.

I was told that I need to use Sulfuric Acid to break up the laundry soap / fabric softener / lint sludge that is built up on the bottom. Anyone know approximately how many gallons I would need and is there a particular type to use?? I have access to a lab at work and might be able to get it there or else have a friend with a plumbers license get it from his supplier. Any help is appreciated!

Sulfuric and Muriatic Acid will dissolve the block in a large enough quantity. The gasses/fumes just might not be the best thing to breath also. Make sure you are not close to the neighbors when doing this.
