1 Does it cost anything to check 1 bag on Northwest airlines, coach ticket I believe, yet?

2 How big of a PIA is it to check a firearm (handgun) and what are the rules and stipulations?

Thanks

I've never flown northwestern, but I have never had to pay to check one bag. I have never flown with a firearm, but I did read the procedures on the FAA's website. It was something like this:

You have to remove the clip/mag and clear the chamber

Again, the gun and the ammo must be completely separate from each other

You have to declare to the airline that there is a firearm in your checked bag. It must be checked..no carry on.

Check with the FAA's website. Everything is on there and should be very easy to find.

$15 for 1st bag, $25 for 2nd and 3rd. Also make sure it doesn't weight over 50lbs. Last weekend they tried charging me $90 for my bag being 7lbs over the limit. Needless to say I took some shit out.

X2 except for I never pay for checked bags. Then again I fly more miles in a year than most drive in 5 years so I get the perks.
BTW. I fly delta so basically I didn't help at all huh? lol
