i hav a 406ci with a 114mm turbo w/ 1.00 a.r housing and five inch down pipe.Now from the engine i have 1 7/8" headers w/ 2 1/2" pipes merge into 3 1/2" that's about 3 1/2 feet long to turbo.I need to know why my back pressure reads [email protected] 25lbs of boost and the pcm is big stuff3.

You sure thats not KPA instead of PSI? Have you had to change header gaskets every time you stepped on the pedal?

More than likely you have the wrong sensor in there. It has to be a 150psi sensor.

Yes I have a 150 psi sensor on it , I'm wondering if any calibration needs to done and I'm gonna check it by placing a oil pressure gauge between the sensor and the line to see if the pressure matches .

You can also hook up a shop air regulator to the sender and apply a set amount of air, like 40 psi, and take a replay. I agree it sounds like you have the wrong sender. If you do the above test and the value in the replay is wrong, apply the air, turn on the BS3 and backprobe the three wires at the sensor, on the three wires you should get 5 vdc on one, 0.0 vdc on one, and voltage corresponding to the following chart on the remaining wire.

0.50 0.0 PSI
0.75 9.4 PSI
1.00 18.8 PSI
1.25 28.1 PSI
1.50 37.5 PSI
1.75 46.9 PSI
2.00 56.3 PSI
2.25 65.6 PSI
2.50 75.0 PSI
2.75 84.4 PSI
3.00 93.8 PSI
3.25 103.1 PSI
3.50 112.5 PSI
3.75 121.9 PSI
4.00 131.3 PSI
4.25 140.6 PSI
4.50 150.0 PSI

Hmm something doesn't sound right. At almost 5:1 the motor would have a hard time staying together short of welding the heads to the block. What turbine wheel is on that 114??

It's a a/r1.00 g trim. Im looking at the sensor location which is only 8" away from turbine housing with a 1/8" line. I believe it shoulb be a 1/4" line 2' long and mount the sensor paralle of the line But im gonna test it first.
