I ran one with an MFI setup. Run some sort of a filter on the oil feed line. I got a little piece of crud in the spray hole and it took the blower out. Aside from that, unless you are getting a smoking deal, I would step up to an F series blower. Thye will still make some pretty good power. You CAN NOT over spin them. They have a max RPM and the will come apart if you push it past that point.

I had a D3R, which was the new version of the D3M... I would stay away from it... I had 3 passes on mine and the wave ring went, making the impeller touch down costing me 1300 bucks for a new impeller... Three more passes, and it touched down again!!!

A D3M isn't a bad blower, but you don't want to turn it over 55k rpm. Preferably less than that. I used to rebuild them frequently before we developed the F-3.

That said, I would get an F3 if you can come up with the $$.
