they sound like a bunch of pricks! you get that alot with boss's who like to keep thier thumb pressed down on you. they like to make you feel like a fuck up so you don't feel like your worth anything. if your trying hard and doing a compotent job then chances are your never gonna satisfy them. just becuase your the boss doesn't mean you have to treat people like shit. if you want to make a profit and have a pleasant working enviorment then you take care of the people who are taking care of you.

Since it seems like they are trying to run you off. All you can do is find another job and give them two weeks notice or stay there until they fire you.

Don't ever quit without another job though. You'll never be able to use them as a reference.

Try to communicate with your friend who owns the shop, tell him what your feelin.... Is it possible that they are just busting your balls? Usually if people are busting your balls it's because they like you.

I work with 30 other guys, we spend the majority of the day pointing out each others shortcoming, and everyone has about 5 nicknames that are not the least bit flattering.

I work with a lady that been in our dept. 3 years and she still takes too long to do everything. She now gets all defensive when we suggest she's doing it wrong or taking too long.

We don't joke with her and don't really like her. I wish she'd move on. She's been given plenty of opportunity to improve.

I can joke with my other co-workers when they fuck something up. We all laugh about it, don't do it again and move on.

If you keep making the same mistake or making dumbass decisions that they constantly have to point out to you - it might be time to move on. Otherwise they might just be bustin' your balls 'till you earn some respect. Remember, you're the new guy. If you can't take it - too f'n bad.

Consider this, you got the job because you are the boss' friend. They aren't going to like that. Just work hard and earn their respect, they will come around if you PROVE you were worthy to work with them.
