I've had the JVC camera since december. I love it. You can't use it for in car because the G Forces will bounce the hard drive as if you dropped it. Been there done that.

Here is a link of some video I took. The last 3 are a lower quality conversion to speed up the posting time. The first 2 are a higher quality conversion. The camera has a long zoom.

ive always used sony products and havent had a problem. i currently use a HDD sony DCR SR-42. only problem is it is small. its good cause its light and wont wear your arm out after hours of taping, but it is very small and if using a mono pod can be hard to get in a comfortable position. but it has a really good steady shot built in it and has awesome zoom. 40x optical, 2000x digital. though most dont care about digital it is there if you need it. it doesnt get lost in the smoke much like my older cameras and stays in focus longer even at night through the big end. has a good lens on it, decent battery (will film for about 2-3 hours depending on mode its in) and has a 30gb hard drive so no more tapes. its only about 450-500 now, i think i got mine for around 600 at christmas time

Heres a video I did of a friends car at Milan. Keep in mind its the first time ive ever videod anything but my little girl running around. A tripod would have helped me alot and I wasnt real familiar with the zoom. Its also a JVC Everio with the hard drive. I'm happy with it.

I just bought a Sony HC-62 about 2 weeks ago. With shipping/tax and a free tri-pod, total cost was 302.xx to the door.

So far, good little camera, and I mean little. Hardly weighs anything, but has a good size viewing screen that incorporates a touch screen into it for command functions.

Also has an "Easy" button (I kid you not) for the inept. Gave it to dad last weekend for filming, and he didn't do half bad.
