fairly fresh trans. gm trans tech building them for me had this in and out about five times for this concern. really getting old, hope I haven't spent the money for a rebuild for nothing. might start looking for different rebuilder after this is resolved.
Two things I would look at for this repeat failure. First is to make sure the input drum isn't leaking where the input shaft is splined into the drum. You have to air check the drum with some fluid around the base of the input shaft to verify this. Second, make sure the correct position, and sealing of the encapsulated check ball that intersects into the servo bore. The valve body has to be removed to do this. Those are the two most likely causes for a repeat failure.
