There's no such thing as a center flanged PSI TOP pulley. Only bottom ones. PSI, RCD and Liitlefield will custom make a center flange top pulley for 6-800.00. But the purpose of that is for belt alignment. Bubba Stanton and a few other guys have had their top pulleys explode to. The manufacturer has recognised it, but Gil and Chuck didn't know, "and I forgot to tell them" oopps.
As far as the overdrive and the pulley being small, that is the characteristics of a screw blower. They don't really make any air below 75% over. It's like trying to run a turbo and only turning it 20,000 rpm max, it wouldn't work very well.
I tune pro mod cars. And that car def isnt a pro mod car. I love how people are already getting on them about a BAE with a screw. It's outlaw racing. If you want one, go get one. It's cheaper than a Fulton or Sonny's 860" motor. If it isn't legal where they go to race, they wouldnt be allowed to race. Simple as that. I think maybe Chucky should get a little credit for even being able to go down the track, the first time out with an ignition that works.
Lynch and Petty are simply the baddest dudes on 10.5's period. They deserve all of the credit that they get!! I do believe that Gil's car will run well, with laps. They are in pretty uncharted waters as far as 10.5 racing goes. I will be at MIR with Bubba Stanton and Scott Filkins. I will also try to do the best I can, helping Chucky bring the tuneup around. They will be running at 3065lbs to be exact. That will be a huge disadvantage in Xtreme 10.5, being that those cars are true, full blown 2400-2600lb Pro Mods with 10.5's and mufflers. But, Gil and the boys are going so they can get some laps on the car locally, and have some help with the new motor. They need time with the new combo, just like any other racer. Last year people were shitting on Shannon Jenkins,Reher Morrison and Mike Castellana for not being able to qualify for half of the races they attended. Now that they have worked things out, they are the quickest and fastestest 1/4 mile nitrous cars in the world, hands down. They are a couple of the best at what they do, and it took them a season and a half. Give Chuck and the team time to try and work on it.
