no need to apologize... i'm not sure that tim or chuck or newsham or any of these guys on top necessarily get bashed on, but i will say that racers pay much more attention to their cars...

Were did the guy go with the orenge truck after calling this car a pro mod with a non stock firewall, seems he never has anything positive to say and he sure take off fast when proven wrong it obviousley was built with a rule/spec book in hand. Sweet car Ive never seen a pulley do that.

Thats because you "dont have the experience, knowledge, or people behind you to run that hemi of yours."

And THAT is the reason that RCD makes center flanged pullies! Time for some upgrades guys.
There's no such thing as a center flanged PSI TOP pulley. Only bottom ones. PSI, RCD and Liitlefield will custom make a center flange top pulley for 6-800.00. But the purpose of that is for belt alignment. Bubba Stanton and a few other guys have had their top pulleys explode to. The manufacturer has recognised it, but Gil and Chuck didn't know, "and I forgot to tell them" oopps.
As far as the overdrive and the pulley being small, that is the characteristics of a screw blower. They don't really make any air below 75% over. It's like trying to run a turbo and only turning it 20,000 rpm max, it wouldn't work very well.
I tune pro mod cars. And that car def isnt a pro mod car. I love how people are already getting on them about a BAE with a screw. It's outlaw racing. If you want one, go get one. It's cheaper than a Fulton or Sonny's 860" motor. If it isn't legal where they go to race, they wouldnt be allowed to race. Simple as that. I think maybe Chucky should get a little credit for even being able to go down the track, the first time out with an ignition that works.
Lynch and Petty are simply the baddest dudes on 10.5's period. They deserve all of the credit that they get!! I do believe that Gil's car will run well, with laps. They are in pretty uncharted waters as far as 10.5 racing goes. I will be at MIR with Bubba Stanton and Scott Filkins. I will also try to do the best I can, helping Chucky bring the tuneup around. They will be running at 3065lbs to be exact. That will be a huge disadvantage in Xtreme 10.5, being that those cars are true, full blown 2400-2600lb Pro Mods with 10.5's and mufflers. But, Gil and the boys are going so they can get some laps on the car locally, and have some help with the new motor. They need time with the new combo, just like any other racer. Last year people were shitting on Shannon Jenkins,Reher Morrison and Mike Castellana for not being able to qualify for half of the races they attended. Now that they have worked things out, they are the quickest and fastestest 1/4 mile nitrous cars in the world, hands down. They are a couple of the best at what they do, and it took them a season and a half. Give Chuck and the team time to try and work on it.

lonnie houde what do you think about that power ????
Well, the power isn't an issue, as everybody knows. That car had to be backed down too much last night. That was part of the problem with the belt and Pulley issues. Those motors dont like dropping holes and picking them back up, as they go down the track. It causes a ratcheting affect on the whole blower drive.
Those 10.5's are a whole different ball game than a 34.5/17. Chuck told me last night that the car was totaly different than with the 860" nitrous motor. In my opinion, Petty and Lynch shouldn't so much be respected for their power, "that is an obvious with anything Petty builds/tunes" as to how they go down the track with that power as much as they do. That is where it's at! That, in my opinion is where they are truly BAD ASS!!!

So which is it? Do they, or don't they make top center flanges?

I guess they make that 1.33 offset, 14mm, 26T pulley on that page for the crankshaft, right?
