Hey guys/gals, although most everyone seems to be honest, we will sometimes run into some low life who wants your hard earned money. What can be done?

You can file a claim in the YB.com Negative seller/buyer feedback section to alert others on the board

You should also file a claim with www.ripoffreport.com to make the alert more widespread. Please read that board as it has a lot of useful information.

Last you can file a claim with www.ic3.gov who works with the FBI and National White Collar Crime Center. Claims can be files on behalf of someone or as a group if needed.

When buying or selling anything please collect as much information from the person on the other end as possible. Things like home address (No PO boxes), phone number, full name and also check in the feedback section and with other members on their experiences. This will save a lot of headaches!!!

YB.com will not stand for the bullshit that has happened in a couple of instances. I will provide all information to the authorities. The buck stops at YB.com and we will not back down to any low life scumbag!!!!!

It just sucks that a few bad apples have to ruin shit for the majority of people looking for a deal or selling parts they no longer need. Again I believe the members here are more like family than just another site member. We will all work together to make shit like this stop!!! And people can bet their asses on that!!!

Hey I got ripped off last week buy a chassis guy in the Ramona, CA. area. Spent $4,000 bucks and he gave me a 25.5 cage that wont even cert for 10.0 and didnt do half the work he said he was going to do. What work he did do looks like a 5th grader did it. Is this where I could post about him to let all know. Please let me know.

Oh and as you can probably figure he wont answer my phone calls or return any.

Yeah I have pics of it. Some of the things I cant show you like 22 welds unfinished and only 4 of them gusseted. Where would be a good place to send some pics. Im kind of lost right now because I spent an ass load of money with this guy and I was really hoping to get a bulk of the big projects done and now I think I went back a few steps, so any help at least advice would be GREATLY apperciated.

This is my first post on YB since I've just been lurking, reading and learning. Anyway, this might be helpful to some. I learned this about 10 years ago when I started doing business over the internet. If you can, always pay w/ a postal money order and send it certified. This protects you as the buyer because there is a record of sending it and if the seller signs there is a record of them receiving. Also, if shit goes south, since the post office is already involved in the fraud, they do not have to be subpoened. I hope this helps.

Later,

Steve.

Once your black marked in a Forum as large and as popular as Yellowbullet's your screwed... word of mouth travels far.

We have no problem showing who the people who screw people are. We can just as easily hide the fact there are crooks out there. But hiding such things doesn't mean it doesn't exist. This has happened on a lot of other sites. The admins there didn't care to help the members out and hide the fact it did happen.. If we are black marked.. That is OK with me. Hope no one feels as anywhere is 100% safeguarded.

I think you misunderstood me. my "black marked" comment is directed to the crooks and scam artists out there trying to rip people off. I am not referring to Yellowbullet. You guys have a great site and I enjoy browsing your forums.:)

Sorry dude I totally misunderstood. I honestly wish one of the guys getting ripped off files a claim. Would be nice to get that phucker off the streets and also off our tracks!!

Been reading a couple of posts on here about eBay and Paypal and was alarmed at how many people were getting screwed just like I did so I thought i'd chime in. About 4 years ago(yes the wheels of justice turn that slowly) I(along with dozens of others) was ripped off on RJ and eBay by a scammer that goes by the name Jeff Hess(Denison Tx). Long story short out of the 30+ people that Mr Hess robbed for @$30,000.00 ONLY 3 of us were able to seek legal action, ALL 3 OF US PAID WITH A US POSTAL MONEY ORDER!!! There were several others that used personal checks and the rest used, you guessed it, Paypal. Unfortunately throughout this whole ordeal I as well as many people found out that WHENEVER you send money across state lines, whether it be electronically or paper currency, if you get robbed there are ONLY 2 agencies that are allowed to pursue the criminals. FIRST ONE is the FBI but good luck trying to get them to do anything as Jen Houser the 2-10 duty agent for the Baltimore MD FBI field office informed me their(the FBI) criteria for going after people in these cases is $1,000,000.00(THAT'S ONE MILLION DOLLARS) and unless they want the person BADLY for something else(such as murder, rape, etc...)they will NOT pursue ANYONE!!! SECOND ONE is the US Post Office! Their criteria for pursuing criminals across state lines is MUCH more reasonable and YOUR ONLY HOPE for legal action!!! Just an FYI out of the 2dozen or so people that were robbed by Hess that used Paypal NOT ONE OF THEM WILL EVER BE COMPENSATED! In FACT this was a very hi profile case that made national news but too my knowledge NEITHER PAYPAL OR FEEBAY represented ONE single person in this case! Didn't even make an EFFORT!!! So I think it's worth pointing out that RACINGJUNK.COM along with RJ member Wlpatterson and Det. Tom Fair(Denison PD) were the ONLY people that gave support in tracking down Mr Hess even though the Greyson County D/A REFUSED TO CHARGE HIM! And for that EVERYONE that uses RJ should be greatful!!! But to make matters worse even the 3 of us that were able to pursue legal action may not get shit back because there is a law in Texas(GO FIGURE the same state that hatched BUSH) that says once a person has been convicted of a crime and can prove they were denied employment 3 times because of THEIR record they can be held NOT liable for compensation. In other words you may not get back ANYTHING if the SOB that robbed you can "prove" his newly found charges cause him employment problems, EVEN IF IT HAS BEEN COURT ORDERED!!! So the moral of the story is that .90 cents US Postal Money Order is the ONLY way your money is insured once it's crossed state lines! Paypal IS a SCAM! YOUR MONEY IS NOT SAFE and Paypal has NO more legal authority to go after ANYONE than YOU OR I! AGAIN THE ONLY WAY SENDING YOU MONEY ACROSS STATE LINES IS INSURED IS BY USING A US POSTAL SERVICE MONEY ORDER! DON'T BELIEVE THE HYPE!!! USERS BEWARE!!!!

My recent post on the NMRA forums:

After about 4 purchases from the NMRA forum I"m having a very bad experience. I shipped my polished t-trim blower kit to Lukas Weldon of Wheels Up Racing to trade for his X-trim blower kit with extra cash thrown in. After several weeks of making sure the funds were in my bank I sent him the check for the balance and he tells me that he didnt get the blower kit but was it ok to cash the check? I tell him that the blower kit shipped out weeks ago and I have delivery conformation that it arrived on his property. He tells me he didnt get it and has been very unhelpful and has now blocked my email address to which we were keeping up with each other. I have done *all* the work and talked to his post office and to the actual lady that delivered that 49lb 10oz. package to his doorstep under his covered porch when she backed her mail truck down his 50 some odd feet driveway. It was delivered on a Friday at noon on a business day, during business hours. If anyone has any information reguarding this, please shoot me a private message. Im trying to give him a chance before I pursue further legal measures. He goes by "bubblemailer" on here and also "170mphparachute" on other sites.

He has since unblocked my email to ask me had I heard anything to which I wrote:

I talked to the lady that delivers your mail and she said she remembers backing up your driveway and putting it on your covered porch. So unless you find it, you are going to have to file a police report for stolen property and get the law involved. Stolen mail from the US Postal service is a federal crime and the value of the package will also make it Grand Theft. I have done all my work on my end of this and most of yours. What have you done to help solve this?

Time is running out-

He emails back cursing me and asking me why was this his fault and "for some reason" he has been banned on YB.......

and very shortly after that.....................

And then lo and behold I get a FEW tips of this!

http://www.chitownracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=155021

How far down this road does he want to go?

Thanks Monty, first, for providing such a quality site; and secondly, for supporting the honest, hardworking racers trying to do the right thing.
