I always try to get to a gas only pump when I m driving a gasser, since I have a diesel I try even harder now.
My buddy as a E-350 7.3 it's a window van, one time he was fueling up at a truck stop and the pump shut off then the manager came running out yelling stop that's Diesel. My buddy says I know and this is a Diesel truck, wish I could have been there to laugh at the manager.

that happened to my wife once when she was filling up our truck. she went inside to prepay and the clerk told her the pump she was trying to prepay for only had diesel and she should move to a different one.
