Last week I got 89 oct. for $3.65 a gallon.
This week it's $4.08 a gallon.
What did I miss?

That must be a local thing. I'm still paying what I've been paying. $2.65/gallon

Hasn't gone up much in Houston since the beginning of summer.

You're getting fucked by your local government, or maybe just the local gas station owners.

Our QT jumped from 2.69 to 2.99 in a couple days for no apparent reason also. Funny I noticed a station right across from this QT was only $2.79. Cars still lining the pumps for the $2.99.

I buy quite a bit of Jet fuel. A transport (7500 gal) is up $1.17 per gallon since Feb 21. Increased demand after COVID plus the political climate are driving the price. Driver shortages are making it difficult to get it delivered. But hey, we’re building back better right?

For no apparent reason? Does the gas station ever tell you the reason when gas goes up? Summer driving season, might be one reason, right?
