Just wondering if there really is power to be had with gas ported pistons?

go to reher morrison site he says in tech on i think was 555 dyno;d a motor without gas ported pistons then gas ported them it picked up 50 hp or something if i remember correctly

I have seen gains even with 1/16" rings, as in better sealing when inspecting the block at tear downs

For 1/16" and 1.5mm rings gas ports are just a more effecient way to apply the gas pressure, I will run lateral gas ports in almost anything

With back cut thin rings there is a huge cylinder sealing and friction reduction, You can also achieve this with .031" Pressure Back Rings which is what I use, old school but works good

If nitrous is used with gas ported pistons then use a vacuum pump in case excess nitrous creeps behind the rings.
