how did you get this fuel log regulator set up like this?

this is my current set up and there no way it wants to go together unless i'm totally missing something simple but my 803's need like a mile more to be able to be screwed on without hitting any help would be appreciated and i know i can do it with other fittings etc but i like this look. and my above picture shows it can be done this way.

i'd like to know too, to be honest since my log is set up the same way except i had to use male to male unions to get the 803's on it....
