Should fuel cell foam be used in a methanol application? I see RJS sells some that is compatible with methanol, but do I really need it? Application is EFI drag race. Thanks

I removed it from my front mounted cell. Also EFI on Methanol.

I don't ues it front cell. I hear meth. will brake it done even the meth. compatable stuff and then you end up with problems.

Don't need it. One less thing to clog up the fuel system.

DO double-filter your fuel though. By that I mean, if you pump fuel from your drum into jugs, filter the fuel as you are doing so and then filter the fuel, again, as you pour it from the jugs to the cell.

I left it in. Broke down and clogged up. Took it out. No problems since

x10 on it breaking down the foam. Pulled my take apart last winter and had all kinds of gritty shit that once was foam. Took all the foam out and use coffee filters when I filled up the cell to make sure no trash got into the tank again
