ok 99 f250 7.3 giving me fits real intermitten will run rough, sometimes die starts right back up, and gives me different codes every time these are the codes that have come up p0603,p1280,p1316,p0470 any help would be appreciated

p1280 is injection control pressure low. If pressure drops the truck will die. If the wiring at the sensor is bad it could cause the truck to die.

sounds like you might've melted the under valve cover harness.

Pull the valve covers off, there is a harness that plugs in at the top of the valve cover and runs underneath. It plugs into the glow plug and injector. Sometimes they melt, cause the truck to run really rough or not start at all. Also, on the drivers side of the truck, there is a plug that runs across the valve cover, the wriring loom wears out and grounds itself to teh valve cover, check that as well.

already checked both valve cover harnesses in and out man i appreiciate all the help guy

Has the Oil been changed lately. Change it, make sure it has 15W40 CI-4 rated oil.
