Hello Everyone

I purchased a set of 5.29 gears that were lightened, scalloped and Rem processed. Are the teeth on the pinion suppose to be smooth top to bottom? This one has a little step on each tooth at the bottom.

Thanks,
Ed

Tough to see but where the surface finish changes near the bottom is where you can feel a little ridge. The portion at the bottom of the tooth is higher than the main part of the tooth. Hope I explained that ok. The person insisted the gears were new and stated some are better than others.

I would be concerned about strength due to that sharp (?) corner. Can't really tell if there is a rad at that corner, or if its a sharp 90* corner. Sharp would be bad for strength imo.

Looks like wear out to that part. Does it come in the original box? Can you see where the bearing has been pressed on? Is there a brand name and number on the ring gear? Brand name or cheap Motive Italian knock off?
