This is in Maryland. Not sure that's a good idea because it would be very easy for unsuspecting members to run afoul of the arcane laws here.

That's a valid point. Are the laws in Maryland preventing someone from selling someone else ammo / parts?

Judging from the thoughtful, well stated and intelligent discussion in the politics section, if this was to happen there' d be a gunfight with worldwide news coverage

It's complicated enough that I don't feel I can advise accurately. There are numerous features on many different firearms that are banned, also types of magazines. There are certain firearms that are banned outright, and "copycats". Have a read of the first page in this thread on a guy asking about moving to MD with his guns and you get an idea, and it's worse than that.

http://www.mdshooters.com/showthread.php?t=158200

Here's a sample if you don't want to read it all.

"1) You don't have to live in MD to work in MD. And going from Norther VA to Annapolis would be going opposite most of the traffic.

2) Any firearm (except certain listed "assault pistols") are fine to bring in, IF they were purchased prior to Oct 1, 2013. If purchased on or after that date, you have to check the banned list and the definition of a "copycat". If they are either, they MAY NOT BE BROUGHT INTO THE STATE. Even to shoot at the range or in a competition.

3) If you do move and live in MD< and establish residency here (only ones who can live here without doing so are active duty military or full time college students), you have to register all handguns and now banned firearms within 90 days."
