I have a scratching noise in a ceiling. Just once a night. Between 10:00 and 2:00. Not every night, but most. No evidence of any droppings.

How do you find out what it is?

Kenny, its in our first floor ceiling, second floor directly above. Will a trap "attract" the critter? I can't access the area the noise is heard without cutting drywall.

My guess is mouse, but he is just heading somewhere. Only hear it once a night.
