Santa Pod Raceway (UK) goes live on the web this weekend!

FIA/UEM European Drag Racing Championships – June 1st/4th

The Queens Diamond Jubilee weekend will be a celebration of speed at Santa Pod Raceway which plays host to the first round of the 2012 FIA/UEM European Drag Racing Championships. Featuring the awesome 300mph Top Fuel Dragsters an expectant crowd will keeping a close eye on rookie drivers; Malta’s Duncan Milaceff , Paul Ingar Udtian and the UK’s Chris Andrews as they pit their wits against the more experienced European racers; Anita Makela, Stig Neergaard and last year’s Championship runner up Risto Poutiainen, all aiming their 8000 horsepower missiles down the famous English drag strip vying for top spot in Mondays eliminations in the hotly contested Top Fuel class.
Also on display are the wildly popular Nitro Funny Cars, it’s set to be stiff competition between the British and Scandinavian drivers. Pro Mod has entries from right across Europe with plenty of new cars and combinations to enjoy. There are many supporting classes including Top Methanol Dragster and Funny Cars, the ever tight Pro Stock and a full sportsman field. In the bike pits; Top Fuel, Super Twin, Pro Stock and Super Street will prepare to tear down the quarter mile. But all these 2 wheels heroes fade in comparison to Frenchman Eric Teboul who launches his rocket bike, completing the 1320 feet in just 5 seconds. It has to be seen to be believed.

The app cost is available for a one-off fee of $10 (approx. £6 ) for both iPhone and Android. As well as live data from every round available, qualifying and elimination data from the current event can also be viewed via the menu button on Android or on screen button on iPhone or iPad. With the app installed, live data from any 1320go covered track can be watched in real time.
