JJ has a couple arm drop events near me and I was curious roughly what those cars are running? My car runs 5.0 flat and I could spray probably 200 on it, just curious how close that would get me? My car weighs 2450 race ready.

We went to one and you could be competitive with nitrous. They had so much shit in burnout area it was hard to come out of there spinning. Then mid track was shaky at best.Good small tire car could run what you are na.

What is considered a "small" tire and where do the 10.5x33's fit these days? since the NHRA has the new class for them maybe they will become the "in" thing again?

Small tire here is a 275 or a 28x10.5 slick. Probably half of the no preps allow a 29.5x10.5. obviously on the taller tire I've been a little quicker but my times are comparable on 28's
This is from the flyer.\

Small Tire Rules: 29.5 X 10.5 (No W's) and smaller. Door cars only. No wheelie bars. Arm Drop, Chase is Race, Water burnout only. Cross center you lose, first is worse. All crew must purchase a separate admission ticket. Entry allows for driver entry only. JJ has final say on judgement calls.

They are typically a standard front side no prep deal depending on the track and how the surface is to begin with. At one of his events around here you better be able to run in the 4s. We won one of his races on a 28x10.5.
It was allot of fun, and they were all really cool.

If I do it, it will be for fun for sure. If I can spray 200 it should run 4.80 I would think. My guess is it would pick up .25 or so to the 1/8. Car runs low to mid 5.0's now depending on the weather.
