Ok, any sign of the ground straps on the plugs starting to melt??
How much timing was run, what ignition?
On the worst hole there was tiny balls on the end of the ground strap, I guess aluminium. 30 degrees locked timing, all MSD ignition- ford billet distributor and blue marine coil and ignition box

Your driver killed your engine in the boat. Fuel pumps do go bad. If that had been in a car it would not been at full throttle for long enough to hurt the pistons. All he had to do was let of the loud pedal like any car guy would to save the engine and then find out why it went lean.

Quiet possibly mate, he’s helping me out so I can ski behind it. He knows he should have got out of it sooner, hindsight’s a bitch.
I just want to know the reason it torched the engine. Plenty of fuel supply to the pump, I’ve gone through the reg. I’ll pull apart the pump tonight.

What carb is on it? Jetting?
Does this fuel you use have any ethanol in it?
