Guys I have a rottler boring machine which works great however recently the brand of cutters I have been using (seco) have become unavailable from my sources unless I want to order 100+ packages of 10. (I'm in eastern Canada) I really liked the consistency of these. I have tried a couple different brands from the supplier and cant seem to get consistency out of them. Seem to only bore one V8 block before they start losing an edge. then they cut big or small.
So my question is what are you all using and having good results with If you don't mind sharing

Whats the p/n on the insert? Many times mutiple manufactures will have the almost identical insert. If your are using Seco try looking into a Kennametal. This is coming from a general machinist, non automotive. You could try contacting Seco directly

I have the rottler bits now which are not to bad. I just always had better consistency with the seco.
I can post p/n tomorrow at work.

Think that is the number... half a dozen on the box.
