Just getting ready to drag my junk down to the contest and wondering whether anybody else here is playing - or following along.

You get to see some pretty interesting and creative engines, and the limits of the rules really force you to think and try things you'd never otherwise consider.

I've got a soft spot for the old FE motors so I'll definitely be watching this thread to see how you do. Good luck!

What did stump puller produce? ^^^
This one is really more of a tuned up version of last year - up against the checkbook rev limiter. Added a different ring & piston package and EFI. Peak torque in legal trim during testing was 616 and peak horsepower was 697 at 6400. Not bad for a 433 incher at 11.5:1 - but I don't think it'll be enough to take the trophy in Limited (two classes this year).

Always interested in ideas. I'm running an "out of the book" Hooter's Cup profile. Seemed about right since they're limited to +/-.650 lift with high ratio rockers - I actually measure .646 with a 1.9 ratio T&D deal - some obvious flex or variability there.

Jeff, they are up there now putting the final touches on our motor. Lots of people stopped by to look at what we brought - it should show pretty good! Some pics of our motor can be found in another thread located here.

I was responsible for the revisions on the intake manifold, throttle body, and ram tube assembly this year after Danny Miller's passing. Its a miracle we are even here!

Yeah Scott keeps me posted, I think he will be using the AFR harness I made, then remade, that will make a rule change I bet.

Apparently there are two classes now at EMC? One is the regular "street" class and the other is new more race oriented one called "extreme street" or something?

I just talked with Tony Bischoff at BES and he said they are heading down there with a new SBF combo this year for the competition.

I look forward to hearing about some of the trick pieces and results!
