ok I bought a new car and I have to make a tranny mount. Car is a 90 mustang with a 351w in it on a AJE k-member stock mounts. Its a Carbed 351w with a victor JR intake. I know some intakes have a - or + deg built in them but Im not sure on this one. with the car at ride hight what should I have it set at with this intake with the gauge sitting flat on top of the intake?

Thanks Guy

At the angle that will provide the proper Crankshaft height in the front and then point the tail housing straight into the rear end yoke when the car is under power..

some cars that would require 5 degrees some it would be -2 degrees

I usually set the stock suspension cars up at around -3* to -3.5*. I also use a bare block and trans case so I can look through and line the rear yoke up. This is also after I set the position of the engine as well, ie" height and setback. Ground hugger tube chassis cars I will go a bit tighter. You don't want 0 as you need the engine tilted back somewhat for oil drainback and to kep oil at the pickup unless it is a drysump application.
