Looking to put an automated shifter in our car this year. We have a Hurst quarter stick in it now that’s totally worn out. Which 3 speed electric actuated shifters are you guys running? Trying to stay away from CO2

Is it reverse pattern? or standard pattern? I've used Shifnoid on both types with a B&M ProStick. Also used a Shifnoid on a B&M Pro Ratchet which I liked the best. Only trick thing on the Pro Stick is to wire the NS the right way so it can't come out of neutral into gear if you free revved it.

Altronics shift actuator Mounted on transmission. No shifter needed. Controller can be programmed to shift on time or rpm. No rpm switches, etc needed. I’ve only had it a short time, but it works as advertised so far.

Thanks for this, this is really cool. Wish I had known about this before I waited for my PPP shifter. I may sell and get this. Do you have any pics of the paddles on the steering wheel you can post? As far shift, is it quick or are having to compensate with earlier shift points to make the shift at your desired RPM?

The Altronics actuator shifts pretty quickly - guessing .020 second or so. Slamming a gated shifter may be quicker, but the actuator shifts in a very controlled manner and there is no rpm flare or anything like that. With a 15.3 SLR, the 1-2 shift is almost immediate and this Thing nails the shift Point consistently and accurately.
— I didn’t buy the optional paddle shifter feature. The controller is easy to shift up and down cruising the pits / return road So paddles seemed a gee-wiz gadget not needed on a full time drag car. I’ve just installed it and been down the track 10 times now. Works as advertised. There was a month lead time to build it though..
