So I bought this 98 328i for a song and have actually been driving it for almost a year now stockpiling parts
My first purchase was a complete swap for 3k with a 6spd
Turned out to be too good to be true, engine was junk (water everywhere) 1 cylinder needed a sleeve
So I found a virgin ls2 6.0 block
Had it line honed and the cylinders checked and honed
Decided why not build a 403 and have some fun with this car.
So I ordered up an eagle crank, Manley h beams with the upgraded rods and wiseco pistons. The block got fitted with arp main studs and head studs
I picked up a set of 243 casting cylinder heads that were already ported and had brand new pac springs.
Luckily I live very close to a fantastic head potter and flow magician, I dropped the heads off at Dennis wheat at Air Flow Development, he went through them did a valve job, cleaned the ports and blended the bowls.
Came back beautiful.
Ordered a set of cometic gaskets from Glen at GS Products
Next I started with the intake, went with the lsxR fast 102mm and the Holley 102mm throttle body
Ordered the fast fuel rails and got hooked up with some Injector Dynamics 1000cc fuel injectors.
I ordered a ton of new parts for the engine like valley cover, front cover, bolts gaskets etc. everything is new on the engine and a lot of the basic hardware has been replaced by arp bolts.
I talked with my engine builder and he wanted the balancer for assembly, so I decided Togo with the ATI balancer built for the addition of a procharger.
Next I ordered my f1 ls transplant supercharger
I decided to, while the builder had time, have him build an 8.8 rear for my car, I'm using an aluminum 8.8 housing with an lpw cover and all arp hardware
The m3 rear subframe was modified to house the 8.8 then powder coated all black.
I also got hooked up with a Ram dual disc clutch and hydraulic tob for the t56 transmission which has a hurst shifter on it.
The guy I work with is going to do all the work for me as I don't have the time or the space to do it and he is absolutely ridiculous with the quality of work he turns out, but he currently is driving the car as his truck is down, so as soon as he gets his truck back on the road in the next week or so, the bmw will start to get taken apart.
I'm also waiting on the engine and trans mount to get it all set it in.
I'm also waiting on my aeromotive dual phantom fuel pump set up, I have an aeromotive X1 regulator. I'm going with Fragola fuel lines and fittings in all black.
Once the engine is set in, we will look at ways to make space for possibly 2" primary headers
At this point that's about all I have and as soon as I figure out how to post a few pics from my iPhone I'll get them up

No one can see your pictures. You need to host them elsewhere.

I was using photobucket
It's not working?
No. You can't attach them. You have to put the img brackets around their web address. I would really like to see them.:)
