I know of a few guys running mid to low 20's with boost without an intercooler and no issues. They are around 9-1 compression. 1200-1400 rwhp.Wondering how much boost or hp is being made with e-85 fuel on blow through carb application without an intercooler.
What would be the ideal compression ratio to use with a 540 ci bbc turbocharged motor without an intercooler???
No problem.I'm in the process of doing this except with EFI. 383ci, GM TPI with 83# injectors, twin 57mm BWs, on E85. I'm figuring around 10# of boost or so for the street on no IC. This is in an '81 Corvette so space is very limited. I hope I can get away with it.
its gotta be a dynojet or a dynocm dyno.So far we've made 940rwhp/1100rwft/lbs on 20psi with our 350ci SBC. CSU 750 Blo thru e85 non intercooled @ 7.2:1 compression. Twin Garret GT3582s.
Just fired the car up in the shed Monday night with brand new CSU 850 E85 carb. Pushed through the converter real easy and had 20psi @ 4000rpm on the two step - sweet indeed! If the bottom end will hang together long enough we are eventually aiming for around 1200rwhp @ 30 psi. I'll be back on here bragging loudly if we make it.... :smt073
WHAT HEADS BECAUSE THIS IS VERY HARD TO BELIEVESo far we've made 940rwhp/1100rwft/lbs on 20psi with our 350ci SBC. CSU 750 Blo thru e85 non intercooled @ 7.2:1 compression. Twin Garret GT3582s.

what kind of compressionI run a big single, e85, no intercooler, and the car makes 31 lbs of boost, c&s blow thru 1000 cfmm dominator
Heads are ported Dart Iron Eagle 230cc.WHAT HEADS BECAUSE THIS IS VERY HARD TO BELIEVE
almost 10:1what kind of compression
