Alittle disappointing but maybe not all things considered...

555 bbc 10:1, built for turbo, so thick rings, heavy duty rotator, 15w40 oil
E85
Dart 345cc based casting with a cnc program run thru it. 425/304 at .800
Super victor efi intake. Mildly ported but wouldnt say a whole lot done to it
Wilson 4500 elbow with a 102mm throttle
2 1/8 header into 3.5 collector but tapers into 3” dual exhaust very quickly like in 8-9” or so.
Cam is around 267 deg at .050”, mid 700’s lift on a 114.

Th400 with tighter 9.5” ptc converter for turbo. 12 bolt rear for now

Pulling near 2-2.2” of vacuum. So that cant help numbers, along with the long small exhaust. Didnt play with fuel too much it was near 12.4-12.6 range gas scale. May be some left there. 37 deg made best power.
Honestly thought more like 550+ whp, or 750+ flywheel. Seems like its restricted to 650 right now. Peak rpm seems much lower than expected as well. Oh well boost shoukd cure it

470" truck pull motor, 990 iron heads & Vic Jr both ported in house, 4150 carb, Straub custom 3 lobe cam, 1-7/8 header rule. We were fighting a carb issue...this pull to 7000 was the only real "clean" pull we made. Shows good tq, nice curve.



This pull wasn't so clean, about 5 hp off average form pull before but shows good peak number. Should carry out nicely.

Well that's some pretty nice results. Especially with the OEM 990 heads that many say are junk or too big etc.

Looks like only 12.5 to 1 compression ratio as well???

THIS is the type of engine people could be putting in there cars are more the "sleeper" look, "just a mild 454 with OEM cast heads, got a small cam, small headers and Edelbrock intake." SLEEPER. Then turn around and run low 9's in a Normal looking Chevelle. HELL past it off as a 396 in a stock-ish Nova/Camaro

The three lobe .800" 280* cam might be a dead give away...:cool:
