Only allow Msd 7531, only allow 15in wheels, and last DONT LIGHT UP THE FUCKING TIME CLOCK UNTIL THE CAR CROSSES THE 1320FT MARK!!! everyone swore if tracks switching to 8th mile was going to be the shit and it isnt in the fans eyes. No one wants to go to the big game and leave at 1/2 time?

As times get quicker you will see cars drop out. Most guys feel they can run 3.90's and 4.0's but 3.70's are a different league for sure for most people.
There is a lot of truth in that statement. Also, its got a lot to do with ego and some racers will move to the next up and coming class that is all of the rage at the time. We had a lot of guys move to Extreme 10.5 that hurt the class several years ago. And then when the nitrous guys could not compete people moved to slow to make rule changes and more guys left. And then the recession hit and guys could not afford to travel and everyone was in survival mode.

And a few years ago I pointed out to several of the promoters at the top of the pile to watch out for the Radial classes, and that where things stand now.

I hope you're healthy again.

MIR runs 1/4 and they get little to no domestics.
8th mile is the way to go.
I like the idea of 15 inch.

I think it comes down to, too many races.
Should be 8 races max. (April - Nov.) Honestly should be 6. Start in may, take July off.

It's who can buy the most parts cause theres races on top of races.

10.5 need 5 races, all 10K. all Friday night into Saturday races. done and done.
RvW basically has 4 races a year for big money. 2 get good car counts.. yet much less than what ODR brought in for less money. Times have changed and money has taken over. Some would say I was Nostradamus for predicting big payouts would ruin the very sport we love.

agree to that, but your still missing my point.
10.5 has 11 races
Add ducks 2 cause a lot of guys go.
Add Capitols 1 or 2.
I'm sure im missing 1-2 shootouts, or whatever the hell they call them now.

Now add in 4-5 test sessions.

Just way too many races. This isn't 2003 where you could put 100-150 passes on these cars.

I see a lot of boats being bought soon.

Racers are being priced out of the sport..

It's no longer who buys the best parts either.. it's who can hire the best tuners in the country and keep them to themselves!! ;);)

Wait. So a solidly thought out rulebook and strict rule enforcement can't make and keep a heads up/first-to-the-finishline-wins eliminator from becoming a battle of the wallets?! Who knew? :smt115 Take care. Tom Worthington

Use to love the Outlaw races, but now I look at them the same as Factory stock, To me(my opinon) it's more about the who can spend the most money.

I would love to see an all motor 10.5 outlaw race, take the power adders out of it.

It's happening in bracket racing as we speak. In fact one of the best owners in the nation (Bader) just screwed the small time guys. You know, the ones that supported that race for years (always 400+ cars) Got rid of his 3 10k races and replaced it with a "big money" race. Hope you have some free time Bader to plug in to some cars.....

Yeah it sucks. It was my favorite race to go to and many others felt the same. Now, none of us are going. Roughly 20 racers or so. Hope that event falls on it's face and I'd have no problem telling him that. Thing is, if someone is just getting their feet wet and you went to the 10k. You would be hooked and you (owner) just generated another racer for your track for a long time. I was one of these people.
This isn't going to happen with a $600 entry for a day.....

those people are not true racers. You cant win if you don't try.

Just noticed this reply -

I fully agree. In the time-off we had taken we stepped up to a 1471 hi-helix/delta discharge blower, Dart-block 540, better heads, etc. - It's all still sitting in the corner of the shop now and has never been run. The class literally died down here with 12-18months time, as it progressed from 4.7's being qualified/in the hunt to bottom 4's.

We switched over to OL632 just to have a place to play; and neither I nor my dad are nitrous guys. We had zero experience with it when we started, but it was the only thing left at the time between the SS/radial stuff and promod. - Now we're still first round ducks at best, but we keep donating to the pot as often as we have it in one piece to show up.
