99 ram 1500 starts cold, but after running a while and shutting down it tries but will not start.
It cranks fine so starter and battery are not the issue. It's think it's either spark or fuel related.
Any suggestions? Is there a fuel relay that could have went bad?

Its a friend of mine from the burg who was coming to visit. It let him sit so I'm trying to give him ideas over the phone. Not easy.

Thanks for the advice.

Check fuel pump. Without cranking the engine, turn the key to run position and listen for the fuel pump to turn on. It should cycle on for about 10 seconds and turn off. If he doesn't hear the pump, try cranking the engine while hitting the bottom of the fuel tank. Most of the time this will free the pump back up and the engine will start. If this starts the truck, will need a fuel pump.
