hello,
im working on a 93 a500 transmission, i have done one before, i have a question.....the adjustment screw the one on the valve body, pressure regulator maybe?? how do you adjust that when you rebuild? is there a ajustment for that??? they dont have a procedure in the ATRAmanual... any help would be appreciated

I usually adjust it until I can fit a 5/16" bolt between the bracket and spring retainer, that's as far as I would take it without putting a shift kit or shift iimprover kit into the valve body. I have used this setting for many years on bone stock units and works good! We just did a Superior Shift Improver Kit in my son's 1999 Dodge 4X4, set it up for heavy duty, I put a stop (washer) inside the 2nd gear servo to immoblize the hydraulic cushion, It has a super clean shift between gears, no overlap or binding between shift, also it now barks the tires during the 1-2 shift, the 3 and 4th shifts are firm also. He likes it alot, shifted like crap in stock form. Burt
