Do I really need to go .030 over?

Gonna order pistons in a week, need to know if its really necessary to go .030 and dish money for the boring? Just a 351w and trick flow 190 heads.

Take it to a machine shop and have them bore gauge it. It is not the fact that it will be .030" over that will make more power, it is the fact that the piston is fitted correctly, the bore is straight and the cylinder finish is right that will make the difference. Line honing is for the mains.
