It's the altitude. Cars get lighter as they go up in altitude. They lose .4 pounds per 1000 feet. They just said a tick but under 2350.
Weird huh? It's the altitude. Cars get lighter as they go up in altitude. They lose .4 pounds per 1000 feet.

5500?? Corrected was 7580 last night. I like your and GK's formula's though..Weird huh?
It all makes perfect sense.
You put 20 psi in your tires at sea level, and once you get to 5,500' they now have 24 psi in them. The car is lighter but the tires gained in lbs. so it is supposed to even out.
The Summit team screwed up this carefully orchestrated trick by letting some of the extra lbs of air out of the tires.... making it too light.
