Wondering what kind of power you can get out of a max effort Dart 360 with a single carb 522 cubic inch and bigger wondering if they would be close to what I need without buying new stuff. Thanks

I have basically the same question as R Parsons, except I have a set of 10 year old Dart 320's, the fully CNC ported ones. They are suppose to be exactly the same as the 360's on the exhaust side and I've been told they can be opened up about the same as the 360's on the intake side. True?

Are my 320's capable of making close to a 1000hp with some really good port work? They also still have 119-120cc chambers and I have a 48.4 cc dome piston, should I angle mill them to get the chamber smaller and go with less dome for better efficiency? Going to go 4.6 bore next time so I'll need new pistons anyway. I already have Jessel shaft rockers on these heads, so buying another set of heads is not in the current budget.

Currently running n/a 9.0'[email protected] - 3200lbs, 5.80'[email protected] 1/8 mile. What's that, maybe 850hp? I want to run solidly in the 8's 8.70's-8.80's or a little faster if possible. I just don't know if these heads are capable. Don't want to waste to much money on them.

Current setup, 540 (4.50x4.25) 14.5 compression with 1/16 rings and not gas ported, Super Victor port match only, cam is .748-.748 280-284 108LS. Shift at 7400 and go across line about 7600 now. Titanium Intake valves be worth it? I'm sure I need more camshaft. Going to a 4.6 bore will have to help some. Lateral gas ports and .043 rings should be worth something also. Am I heading in the right direction?

The 320 and 360 "Race Series" heads are from the same casting, and 320's can be opened up to 360's. The Pro1 325 heads are not, and cannot be opened up that far.

My 12 yr old 320's made 960 hp on a 477" with a single 4, hope Chris has some good answers here. We now spray the shit out of these and yes big RPM going through lights at like 9400 shift at 8900 so it can be hard on valvetrains but no problems so far.
