Nice, What kind of aluminum did you use? How did you prep it and stake it?

Just cleaned it real good and got a carbide in as far as I could. It’s a strange shape so it shouldn’t go anywhere. I melted down an old forged piston and poured it in.

I don't see a problem.

When porting the small block Ford Holley SysteMAX II intake manifolds, the wall dividing the runners is also about 1/16" or so and there was never a gasket sealing issue.

I don't like running dampers with Ti springs but when I do, I polish the top of the damper.

I was going with tool steel but got these Ti retainers for less and I spent most of a morning looking for a dual spring with no damper but couldn't find what I wanted. The Isky springs I wanted were out of stock everywhere. Already had the retainers so had to settle. Cam is <.600" hyd roller.
