Ed, or any one with experience porting the Holley 300-276 intake. Any tips or suggestions would be appreciated.
The 4 center runners are, naturally easy to get to, but the 4 outer runners are terrible. This intake has flow variations of 40-50 cfm with the worst 2 being number 4 &5 cylinders, with 265 cfm, vs. other cylinders flowing 290's -308.

Why in the picture does the deck surface appear to be similar to the chamber finish? Is it all done at the same time and then finish machined later?
Might be a "palm sander" finish just to remove any slag or burrs.

I do that to the intake face of the castings for gasket retention but Chad probably just does it to provide a clean surface.

Just finished a SB Ford project I've been working on for a while. Started with the "210" ProMaxx Project X casting. (Not 210cc)
211cc re-shaped intake port
2.45 mcsa @ pushrod pinch
2.10 x 5.01/1.60 x 5.03 REV valves
63cc re-shaped chamber
Re-shaped ex ports
I had everything digitized and had the program run through these heads but, because of core shift, I didn't like how they looked so I finished the intakes and chambers by hand. Exports came out OK so I left them alone.
No flow bench, therefore no flow numbers but since these start out as a copy of the AFR 205, I'd say after porting these the flow numbers should be somewhere very close to their 220 Renegade, if not a little better. This head has a slightly larger mcsa @ the pushrod (2.45 vs 2.34) and with flow (estimated) in the 325-330 range, will support 440ci up to 7K rpm and has a potential to develop well over 750hp.
