whats being used to repair a head when you grind thru into the ports?

kid was clearance grinding a push rod hold and broke into the port......is there a particular epoxy that can be used ?

this is a sbc head , there is no support for a sleeve, needs to be welded or epoxied.
welding would be his last resort , would like to know what types of epoxies are being used with good results with fuels and oils.

I use Z-Spar marine epoxy as recommended by most professionals, but its expensive for a one time use like that. Goodson sells a smaller amount for about $40, but if its a pretty small hole I've seen JB Weld work fine. Even saw a similar repair where a piece of tape measure that fit the radius perfectly was JB Welded there.
