We just finished preping ans poilishing a BBC 565 Crankshaft.............BLING

Is that really true? Wouldn't the same theories used in port finishes apply to the counterweights of a crankshaft? Would the polished finish really reduce drag, or would it maybe increase drag due to reduced "boundry layer" just asking...Oil should never drag that crank down. Looks nice!
Still STD bearing size? Or you have to turn it after all work of polishing?

on a crank you want a fininsh that does not allow the oil to stick to it. The higher you rpm the engine and the bigger the stroke the more impotant it becomesIs that really true? Bryce,
I've always wondered-does that Nova in your Avatar have the "Iron Assassin" 496 you built in Engine Masters Magazine in it? By the way, that Crank is orgasmic-

Amazing Pieces !
a crank rotates, a port just sits there..think about it for awhileIs that really true? Wouldn't the same theories used in port finishes apply to the counterweights of a crankshaft? How much does it cost to polish a crank and rods?
Is this like the micronite finish or done by hand ???
