I've always wondered-does that Nova in your Avatar have the "Iron Assassin" 496 you built in Engine Masters Magazine in it? By the way, that Crank is orgasmic-

Still STD bearing size? Or you have to turn it after all work of polishing?

Oil should never drag that crank down. Looks nice!

Is that really true? Wouldn't the same theories used in port finishes apply to the counterweights of a crankshaft? Would the polished finish really reduce drag, or would it maybe increase drag due to reduced "boundry layer" just asking...

It's still STD bearing size, the final finish takes off .0002-.0003

on a crank you want a fininsh that does not allow the oil to stick to it. The higher you rpm the engine and the bigger the stroke the more impotant it becomes

we aslo do the rods on the high end stuff

no it has a old old 406 sbc..... I need to get some time to fininsh the new engine

a crank rotates, a port just sits there..think about it for awhile
