My car is currently set up with a 315/29.5” tire with a 14” crank centerline. When set up, the ride height, engine angle was set with laser in crank CL that pointed to pinion CL. With the 29.5 tire the pinion height is 12 3/4 off ground.

I plan to change to a 275 radial which will drop the rear pinion CL due to shorter tire dia. With that change the crank CL will point slightly higher than needed.

will the engine angle need to be changed to compensate or is the small decrease in rear pinion height negligible to making a difference?

Thanks for the replies...I didn’t think it was big deal but lots hype about the engine CL pointing directly at or slightly lower than the pinion CL

The engine angle and the driveline angle are two different things. Driveline angle has nothing to do with the ground.
