i just swaped intakes the one i had on was a brodix with no thermostat just the washer the intake i have now has a thermostat i ran it for half hour on street opend my hood and i was squirting out my waterpump gasket is a thermostat bad to run at 7200rpm the radiator has a 18 to 21 pound cap and on top of my motor has a 18pound cap schould i bump them down to a less psi cap my thermostat it is a 180

If the pop off is 18 psi and they work, the water pump has to be loose, any more pressure and the cap would pop off the system should not have more than 18 pounds anywhere in it. I run a thermostat in mine a 160 one, but have 4 ,1/4 inch holes drilled in it , so it can by-pass some, and not go from hot to cold out of the rad while warming up
