I looked up my new valve springs for my cam and the rocker arm studs that are in there seem a little on the weak side , the ones in there have a 3/8 thread on them in the head and 7/16 on the top ( gen 6 BBC vortech ) , now I was going to go to the next size up which is 7/16ths , is there enough meat thee to tap it out safely and use it or am I better off going to the 1/2 in base studs ?? this is a towing vehicle

we need to see a picture of the heads and at least a casting number

they aint all the same

there could be some machining involved.

nevermind found out the info I needed , someone use the wrong figures ( transposed a part number ) I am safe .
