My finish line rpm's seem too high for me. When I glance at my tach it looks to be 7500-7700. I would like it to be under 7000.

Can anyone figure my true rpm or if my converter seems to have too much slippage? Someone did for me and said the rpm is calculating to be 6100. That doesn't seem correct to me.

1/8 mile mph 135

rear tire diameter 32"

rear end gear 4:33

powerglide transmission high gear finish

converter does have a diode (which I thought would tighten up the rpm at the finish line)

finish line rpm 7500-7700 (guess)

2800lb car

1000 hp bbc twin turbo

Thanks!

At 7600 it would be 17.7%
Tire dia X 3.14 = circumference (100.5)
