Years ago I saw in a magazine that looked interesting was a finned Plate that bolted between the flexplate and the converter. What this did is that it would cool the converter as the engine is running.
Anyone know what ever happened to that idea?
Probably not too effective would be my guess, and now it would need an SFI tag to boot. Even the old Chevy II/Nova, air cooled Powerglides used an enclosed "turbine assembly" that worked with a vane that was tack welded to the converter to help cool it; probably not real effective either, but better than nothing (???).
