Cometic .060" issues?

My deck height on the little V6 is .035 shorter then stock. Off the shelf 3.830 turbo pistons would bring my CR to ~9.3:1 with .040" cometics. I can bring CR down to 8.9:1 with .060" but was wondering if that was too thick. Head CC is 41.80.

Goal is to run 9's on pump w/meth at 30 psi.

Thoughts?

Thats a tall order you are making. In my opinion the extra compression will only help. It makes a huge difference especially on a street car. My TSM and TSL motors were 9.1 comp.
Use the .040's. It will run better with that compression.
I do enjoy more compression on the street, and it spools easier, I was just worried about too much. My TE45A loves it over 25 psi and I didn't want to run into a detonation issue before the turbo got into it's sweet spot.

I know the TE45a wont take a full weight car into the 9's so maybe the compression is a moot point.
Thinner gasket more compression, and quit torturing yourself trying to run 30 psi on pump gas. Lol
by using a .060" you may actually have more detonation issues by decreasing the quench. Have you done any work to the heads? A better flowing head will make more power than increasing boost @ lower boost levels. Which will decrease intake temp drastically.

Larger intake valves and some home porting work.
