I believe that both can be made to work but the coil overs do have advantages such as weight and the adjustability and availability of the springs in so many different rates.
Make sure you check the shocks, I broke 2 CE's valves broke inside locked up, and switched to a El -Chepo Lakewood 90/10 and use a limiter to tame it down
My experience with radials is my car liked a stiffer rebound and as much front end travel as you can get. IMO your better off using a Moroso type spring up front (there are places that can custom wind a set for you) with a good da shock and good da's out back.
