You'll get 2-3 seasons easy with just an air shifter solenoid using one of the small like 2" dia. x 12" tall bottles (not sure what weight that is). Not sure on the chute. One thing to do is keep an adapter in your trailer so in case your bottle runs empty at a race you can fill it temporarily using regular compressed air.

We are building a new car and will be using CO2 for the air shifter and dual chutes. I am curious if anyone can tell me a ballpark number of actuations we might expect from a say 1.5 lb or 2.5 lb bottle. Never have used them before.
The chutes use a LOT of Co2. I don't personally run them, but you might ask Dennis Bailey of BB&T Racing. They have a pair on their 10.5W car, and he would know how much the chutes consume on each deployment. I know they run a 5lb bottle because of the chutes. Dennis goes by Fastest04Cobra on YB.

As for the shifter, as already mentioned, they use next to none.
