I have 2 clutch turbos. One I had in my street car for close to 15 years (took it out last fall). When I had a 289 in my car it was very streetable, although they are the hardest shifting trans I have ever seen. Make sure you have a good driveshaft, u-joints, yokes, axels, etc.

After I switched to a 408 in the car, I wasn't as happy with it. When driving around town, it felt like I spent 90% of the time holding in the clutch and coasting. I also had clutch slippage problems with the 408. I don't think it was actually the clutch, which was a twin disk clutch rated for 1000HP, but the hydraulic throwout bearing releasing to slow.

If you have any specific questions let me know.
