The small filter will be the restriction. Unless you use one of the racing filters and I don't like using the large micron filters.
A block mounted filter on a 557 was down about 10lbs on dyno compared to my oberg and large 1 1/16 filter I have on the dyno.
We didn't notice any real or noticable change on a BBc 509 incher with Mellings HV pump. We didn't use the Clearview WITH the spin on though. I think we should have used that one. That's a nice 2 stage filter setup. Larger 50/60 Micon in the clearview and small 10 micron in the spin on.
