i had a major engine failure and the hose is full of fine metal particles,i have washed the in soapy water and tried brake clean and air,i still can find small particles,should i replace all the hose????

No question about it, replace ALL the hose. There is no way you can get all the shrapnel out.

If it was a major blowup replace the hose. We've had sharp shards bury them selves in rubber inner liner and dislodge a inopportune times. The best way to clean them is to soak them in real hot water then wash them out with a pressure washer. Soaking them in hot water opens up the hose and lets it release the junk a little easier.

Like I said if it was a major blowup just replace everything. I've had so many horror stories about brand new motors getting trashed by 400 bucks in plumbing it's sickening.
